TIPO AMENDED THE REGULATIONS OF PATENT FEES TO REDUCE THE ANNUITIES FOR GRANTED DESIGN PATENT



The Taiwan Intellectual Property Office (hereafter TIPO) has amended its “Regulations of Patent Fees” in June 15th, 2011, and the amendments have been enforced in July 1st, 2011. There are two main points in the amendments: first, in order to promote the culture and creative industry, TIPO has amended the article 7 of the regulations to reduce the annuities for granted design patent; secondly, TIPO has added a new provision (Article 2-2) to the regulations for requiring fee payment from the invention patent applicant who applies for accelerated examination based on the statement that the patent application is essential to commercial exploitation....[more]

TFDA ANNOUNCED THE CRITERIA FOR CLINICAL TRIAL TO STRENGTHEN DOMESTIC SOMATIC CELL-BASED THERAPEUTIC PRODUCT
