Lee, Ya-ping heads the First Division in STLI. She leads and participates in a great number of research projects concerning the development of Taiwanese technology laws, complements the formulation of national hi-tech industrial policies. She acts as Think Tank of the Government, and provides suggestions for the Government and industries, so as to create a comprehensive legal environment that nurtures Taiwan’s hi-tech advancement and industrial applications. She also conducts preliminary research in pioneering areas of science and technology law, which enables the Government to draft or revise related policies and laws.
She holds a concurrent post as the Commissioner of Industry-Academia-Research Collaboration Committee of the Pharmaceutical Industry Technology and Development Center, and a lecturer of law in Chung Yuan Christian University.
Since Lee, Ya-ping joined STLC in 1996, she was a Legal Research Fellow and Project Manager of the Science & Technology Law Center, and held a concurrent post as Legal Consultant of Industrial Technology Research Institute.
