Shih, Ya-hsun serves as a legal researcher in Science & Technology Law Institute. She is mainly responsible for legal research related to biotechnology and medicine.
She previously worked as a patent engineer in the Foreign Import Department of the Saint Island International Patent & Law Offices, mainly responsible for handling Taiwan patent applications for foreign patent applicants. Later, she worked as a trainee and lawyer in the Formosan Brothers Attorneys-at-Law, mainly dealing with intellectual property related legal matters, including copyright criminal cases, trademark dispute cases, patent civil and administrative litigation, etc., as well as handling general civil and criminal proceedings and non-contentious matters such as contract review and providing legal opinions.
