Cheng, Chia-I

Chia-I Cheng serves at Science & Technology Law Institute, Institute for Information Industry. He researches on digital convergence law and policy, spectrum management, and issues on telecommunications policy and development.

Before joining the STLI, Chia-I Cheng worked in National Communications Commission as Legal researcher and commissioner assistant researcher for 3-year. He was supervisor at legal & regulatory group in Taiwan Star Telecom Co., Ltd for 2-year. He participated in project of spectrum auction twice (both government and operator), and legislation initiative of digital convergence. He is very familiar with government policy and telecommunications industry’s operation.

 

Chia-I Cheng is Ph.D candidate of Institute of Technology Management in Tsing Hua University (Hsinchu). He also owns Master of Law for Science and Technology (L.LM) and Bachelor of Business Administration in MIS.
